HELLO!

Where have you found yourself?

This is the site of Nuneaton's Abbey Players.

We are an amateur group that was formed in 1987 with the explicit aim of staging productions at The Abbey Theatre and Arts Centre, Nuneaton.

Since then, a pantomime has been staged annually at Christmas, and in recent years we have also been staging mid-year Variety shows.

In between this, we also enter local drama festivals, and have won several awards in the All England Theatre Festival.

The majority of members are aged under 21 - but we're always on the look out for new members (especially more 'mature' ones).

Do you fancy being on stage, or working behind the scenes?

If you have a good sense of humour, but also have the discipline to make a commitment to being involved in shows staged to fee-paying audiences, and want to join us, please use the Contact Us link on this page.

We look forward to hearing from you!! (if only to buy a ticket!)

LATEST NEWS.

The 2008 Drama Festival Season has come to an end, and once again we have had considerable success.

We started rehearsing in January for our entries “Mediocrity” and “The Witches Of Prestwick” into Midlands Drama Festivals.

In the Warwickshire One Act Festival, “Mediocrity" was placed as winner, also taking the award for Best Direction (Andrew Ward).

In the same festival “The Witches Of Prestwick” took the awards: Best Presentation; Best Female Actor (Kaye Wing); and, the Adjudicators Award (Nathan Harvey).

We now go forward to represent Warwickshire at the division final to be held at he Brewhouse Theatre, Burton On Trent, on Saturday 26th April.
