CINDERELLA

The Abbey Players are currently staging their annual pre-Christmas pantomime at the Abbey Theatre and Arts Centre, Nuneaton. The offering this year is Cinderella, penned by David Buchanan.

The group have been in rehearsal since August and promise a show packed full of song, dance and laughter.

The show follows the traditional storyline. Cinderella lives in Hardup Hall with her father, Baron Hardup, but has rather a hard time at the hands of stepmother Lady Hardup and stepsisters Begonia and Petunia.

The latter are determined that Cinderella shall not go to Prince Charming’s Grand Ball, but he Baron and his staff, Buttons, are equlally determined that she shall. And of course she does with the help of Fairy godmum Foozle.

With songs and dances ranging from “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy” through to “Crocodile Rock” there’s something for children of all ages.

The show will be performed nightly 4th to 8th December at 7:30pm, there is an additional matinee on the 8th at 2:30pm.
